Outreach Opportunities:
The Centre welcomes any invitations or enquiries pertaining to participation in non-profit community events. In particular, we are enthusiastic about contributing to work involved in introducing our research to individuals or groups who might not otherwise have access to it. Such work may include, but need not be limited to:
- introductory events designed to encourage capable students from non-professional backgrounds to consider attending university
- sessions for groups or individuals not able to attend university, but who are interested in topics included under the Centre's auspices
- literary evenings/public lectures for members of the public and/or literary societies
All enquiries should be directed to the Centre Director at the address below. Please note that email requests are preferable and guarantee a faster response.
Previous Outreach Work:
Staff in the Centre have been involved in a number of previous outreach projects, such as a widening participation partnership between the School of English Studies and Djonogly Academy, summer school sessions for students who would be the first generation in their family to attend university, and an extended programme for adult learners with special needs organised by the The Shepherd School, Nottingham City Council and the School of Education (University of Nottingham).
